IFP announced as exclusive agent for Good Earth Power AZ

    01/28/2016

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – International Forest Products LLC (IFP) is pleased to announce that they have been named the exclusive representative for Good Earth Power AZ’s lumber mills.

Good Earth Power AZ (GEPAZ) is working with the U.S. Forest Service in Arizona to ensure that the project goals of the Four Forest Restoration Initiative (4FRI) are achieved through landscape-scale restoration and biomass utilization strategies. IFP will have exclusive worldwide marketing rights for the 40 million board feet of Ponderosa pine lumber produced annually at GEPAZ’s mills in Heber, Arizona and Williams, Arizona. That volume is expected to increase to 340 million board per year once GEPAZ has constructed a third, much larger mill, also in northern Arizona.

“We are thrilled to be working with Good Earth Power AZ on this important initiative which is undoubtedly transforming the landscape in the Arizona forestry sector” says Peter Keyes, IFP’s Managing Director of Solid Wood Products. “This is a unique opportunity in all of North America”.

According to Good Earth Power CEO Jason Rosamond, the agreement with IFP will significantly move the project toward a key goal of creating a sustainable economic model to fund long-term forest restoration. “This is an important step forward for 4FRI, and for restoration efforts everywhere,” he said.

Working alongside GEPAZ for this transition is Buzz Nielsen (buzzn@ifpcorp.com), IFP’s Regional Manager for this sector and he can be contacted for any further information.
